EMBRC/EU4OceanObs: Ocean Observation awareness campaign 2023

EMBRC has partnered with Mercator Ocean International and the EU4OceanObs project on a campaign raising awareness of the importance of ocean observation in global conservation efforts and the positive societal impacts of EMBRC’s mission and activities.

As the effects of climate change worsen and human activity keeps taking its ever-growing toll on the marine world, never has our oceans, and the services theyit provides, felt so vital to our societies and our economies. In this context, understanding and monitoring marine biodiversity biology and ecology, that is - all life in our oceans, play a crucial role in protecting, managing sustainably and restoring our planet’s largest ecosystem.
