It's always nice seeing the legend of horn shows on board! But, man, did it take a while for this train to get here? Trains usually take 45 minutes to get here from the Hub City Museum in Spartanburg, which was the exact time my last catch of 296 came. But auto control, a dumb feature that doesn't allow the engineer to throttle up, and a buggy Trip Optimizer had slowed this train down a lot. I mean, 45 minutes, I received a heads-up that the train was passing Pacolet! I couldn't believe it, plus it was slightly drizzling, and I wanted to get home as soon as possible. It took this train an hour and three minutes to get here. I tell you what though, the awesome legend and the long train really made this train worth catching!
