To get Google Street View to work on a Google map on a computer:

Open your Web Browser: Launch your preferred web browser and go to the Google Maps website by entering www.google.com/maps in the address bar.

Search for a Location: In the search bar at the top left corner of the Google Maps page, type in the address or the name of the location you'd like to view in Street View. As you type, Google Maps will suggest options based on your input. Click on the correct location when it appears in the drop-down list.

Navigate to Street View: After you've searched for the desired location, Google Maps will display a map with a marker indicating the location you've selected. In the lower right-hand corner of the map, you'll see a small yellow person-shaped icon. This icon represents Street View.

Drag and Drop the Yellow Person Icon: Click and hold the yellow person icon with your mouse cursor. While holding the icon, drag it onto the map. As you move the icon over the map, you'll notice that certain streets will be highlighted in blue. These blue-highlighted streets indicate that Street View images are available for those areas.

Drop the Icon onto a Blue-Highlighted Street: Continue dragging the yellow person icon over the map until you find a street that you'd like to view in Street View. Once you've positioned the icon over a blue-highlighted street, release the mouse button. Google Maps will transition into Street View mode, showing you the 360-degree panoramic images captured from the selected location.

Explore Street View: In Street View mode, you can navigate around by clicking and dragging your mouse on the image. You can also use the on-screen navigation controls to move forward, backward, turn around, and look up or down. Additionally, you can use your keyboard's arrow keys to navigate and explore the surroundings.

Exit Street View: To exit Street View and return to the regular map view, either hit "Esc" on your keyboard or click the "Exit Street View" button located in the upper-right corner of the Street View image. You'll be taken back to the map where you can continue exploring or searching for other locations.

Remember that Google Maps' Street View feature is not available everywhere, and the coverage might vary depending on the location and the extent of imagery that has been captured.
