"Victoria is open for business" - interviews with the MDs of Southern Cross Gold and ACDC Metals

The Allan Labor Government in Victoria is unlocking new supplies of critical minerals which will inject billions of dollars into regional communities and are essential for building renewable energy infrastructure.

Minister for Planning Sonya Kilkenny signed off the Environment Effects Statement (EES) for both the Goschen Rare Earth and Mineral Sands Project and the WIM Resources Avonbank Mineral Sands Project with conditions – marking a major milestone in the approval process.

These projects are the first mineral sands mine projects to get the green light since 2008. They will create hundreds of jobs in regional Victoria and unlock critical minerals that are essential for things like wind turbines and electric vehicles as well as for everyday technologies like electronics and computers.

In this interview Sean Sandilands, Senior Advisor at STK Markets interviews Michael Hudson, MD of Southern Cross Gold Ltd (ASX:SXG) about the announcement and its positive impact for Victoria and SXG who are looking as though they could be the largest producer of the critical mineral Antimony in the world. Antimony is a 20% byproduct of the gold exploration at their Sunday Creek gold-antimony project. We also discuss recent high grade drill results at Apollo; the geological similarities between Sunday Creek and the two producing gold mines to its north and the merging of the TSX-V listed Mawson Gold’s SXG shareholding into the same shell as SXG, and listing SXG onto the TSX-V making it available for northern hemisphere investors.

Following this I interview Tom Davidson, the CEO of ACDC Metals (ASX:ADC) who have mineral sands projects in central Victoria including one right next to one of the 2 projects announced. Tom discusses the signal these milestone decisions will send to the investment community and the impact towards ACDC
