General Naravane Book Controversy: 'This Is The Status Of...' Ex-Army Chief Naravane On Book Row

Ex-Army Chief M M Naravane responded to the row over his unpublished memoir. He shared a statement issued by his book’s publisher, Penguin India. The memoir in question is titled 'Four Stars of Destiny'. Naravane said the book’s draft was not cleared for public release. The publisher clarified that the memoir was prematurely accessed, not leaked by them. Penguin India said all necessary permissions were pending for publication. Naravane stressed the draft did not contain classified material. He said he trusted the official review and clearance process. The controversy has sparked debate on parliamentary use of unpublished books.
