It has been a little over a year since the launch of PM Modi’s ambitious Startup India programme aimed at promoting bank financing for start-up ventures and boosting entrepreneurship.

Although, it has made a decent beginning with the introduction of various incentives and schemes, many imbalances and deficiencies need to be mooted out from the programme. Changes to Tax holiday period, minimum alternate tax as well as the removal of some other hindrances for startups need to be looked into.
The Union budget will be presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on February 1.
