April 2022: As filming for Mission Impossible 8 (Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part Two) was in full swing he arrived with his entourage, in dozens of helicopters and planes... The movie is directed by Christopher McQuarrie. Tom Cruise personally flew his own chopper, McQuarrie was one of his passengers both times he took off in his chopper in Ladysmith KZN, South Africa. Most of the footage in this video is from his second visit to Ladysmith. He moved the entire production crew from Hoedspruit to Winterton near the magnificent Drakensberg mountains. Tom's helicopter is The Eurocopter AS350 Écureuil, now called an Airbus Helicopters H125, is a single-engine light utility helicopter originally designed and manufactured in France by Aérospatiale and Eurocopter.
