Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (abbreviated as RSPAD) is a type A hospital located in DKI Jakarta, Indonesia, precisely on Jalan Dr. Abdul Rachman Saleh, this hospital is under the Command of the Army Health Center. This hospital was founded by the Dutch colonial government in 1819. It was in this hospital that the education of Javanese doctors was pioneered, known as School tot Opleiding van Inlandsche Artsen. Currently RSPAD Gatot Soebroto is a level one hospital and is the highest referral in the ranks of the TNI which provides health care for TNI AD soldiers, Civil Servants and the general public.
The name of this hospital comes from the name of Lieutenant General Gatot Soebroto, in order to honor and remember the services of Lieutenant General Gatot Soebroto.

Gambir is a sub-district in Central Jakarta, Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Indonesia. The National Monument or Monas, and Gambir Station are located in this sub-district.
During the Dutch colonial era, the Gambir area, especially the Gambir Kelurahan and its surroundings, was called Weltevreden (including the train station). The name "Gambir" itself has been used for the same area since the early 19th century, after a Dutch lieutenant of French descent named Gambier who was assigned by Daendels to open the road to the south.[3]
Before being developed by Daendels as the center of the Dutch East Indies government in a new area he called Weltevreden, the history of this area dates back to 1658 when it was still an area of swamps and weeds. By the owner named Anthony Paviljoen, this area began to be leased to the Chinese community to be cultivated as agricultural land for vegetables and rice fields. After the development of this area, a market emerged which continued continuously as a market to commemorate the birthday of the Dutch ruler who held a night market every year. The market that continued to grow and develop was called Gambir market.
