Assam Police apprehended one more person for his alleged links to the Al-Qaeda network in Bangladesh on August 31 . The accused identified as Amjad Ajmal Hussain was arrested from Guwahati’s Fatasil Ambari area. Police also seized a few "objectionable literature and posters" from Hussain’s residence.
The accused was later taken into police custody and will be produced in court on Thursday. So far 35 people from different parts of the state have been arrested for their alleged links with Al-Qaeda.
