This legendary and ancient giant fish/lizard hybrid is found in the water of the level 5 mines. Upon examining the shiny object in the water, which is later revealed to be the stone crown helmet, the Salmonsnake will ambush the party. Here you can use the gnome egg on the boss to skip a few turns, and you will then want to take out its eye and tongue to give you an advantage in the fight.

Once defeated, you can use the skinning knife to receive Salmonsnake Meat and use a soulstone on the boss to get the Salmonsnake soul accessory which is one of the best in the game.
