Fair Districts PA Chair Carol Kuniholm invited Damary Bonilla-Rodriguez, Brandon Flood, Stephanie Sun and Tony Crocamo to share their insights and experience regarding ways individuals and organizations can strengthen democracy and broaden civic engagement.

Brandon Flood (03:47) leads the Lazarus Firm, focused on addressing reentry challenges for returning citizens. Flood has years of expertise in developing and moving public policy forward to improve the lives of Pennsylvanians. He has served as Deputy Director of Government Affairs for CeaseFirePA, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, Legislative Director for the SEIU Pennsylvania State Council, Political Action Committee Chairman for the NAACP Pennsylvania State Conference and Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus.

Stephanie Sun (09:05) serves as both Vice President of Policy and Program and Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Accessibility for the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania. She is also co-founder and co-chair of the Pennsylvania Asian Pacific American Jewish Alliance. Sun was Executive Director of the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs from 2020 to 2023, and is currently an advisor to the Pennsylvania Office of Health Equity.

Damary M. Bonilla-Rodriguez (18:02) holds a Doctorate in Education focusing on executive leadership and is a nationally recognized authority in leadership development, specializing in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her groundbreaking doctoral research on Latina leadership in the U.S. has shaped key initiatives, conferences and publications focused on fostering impactful, diverse leadership. Her leadership extends across several boards, including the ACLU of PA, Maternal and Family Health Services and the Salvation Army of East Stroudsburg. She served for 6 years on Governor Tom Wolf’s Latino Commission, chaired the Statewide Education Committee and was a commissioner on his 2018 Pennsylvania Redistricting Reform Commission.

Tony Crocamo (30:03) is a member of the FDPA Executive Committee, a lead speaker for the FDPA Speakers Bureau and co-chair of the FDPA Advocacy Advisor team. He has been an FDPA volunteer since 2016. Following a career of providing marketing services for international engineering and design firms, he helps design and present FDPA educational programs statewide and trains FDPA volunteers on a non-confrontational, values-based, team approach to lobbying state legislators. Crocamo is a regular performer in Lancaster Story Slam and a rostered teaching artist with the PA Council of the Arts. His background is in marketing.
