The original plane:
Fanjet was designed and developed by the German company Rhein Flugzeugbau GmbH, a former subsidiary of MBB (which is currently part of EADS). The design that was developed during the 1970s and 80s was far ahead of its time. The integrated high bypass engine of the Fanjet is very similar to modern day turbofan propulsion systems, they have comparable BPRs.
The RFB Fantrainer (or Fan Trainer) is a two-seat flight training aircraft which uses a mid mounted ducted fan propulsion system. It was developed by Rhein-Flugzeugbau GmbH (RFB) in Germany in the late 1970s and used by the German and Thai air forces. It won a competition in Germany beating the Pilatus PC-7 and Beechcraft Mentor as the best solution to the Luftwaffe's Basic Trainer Requirement. However, no orders were forthcoming as Germany had committed to buying US Fighters (F4 Phantom and F-104 Starfighter) which included a deal for pilot training in the USA. Lufthansa was also interested in the aircraft due to its jet-like handling. Users confirm it is very fuel-efficient and provided a true "jet feel" for a reasonable price. The Royal Thai Air Force used the FT400 and FT600 versions to train ab initio pilots who then went on to fly the Northrop F-5E fighter aircraft.

Radio-controlled jets, built to exact scale after manned originals, are one of the most interesting disciplines in aeromodelling. Whatever these technically sophisticated model airplanes take to the air, attention is guaranteed. Watching the model airplanes fly demanding jet-typical maneuverers is a special treat for the old and young - not only for aviation enthusiast!
From 13th to 19th August 2017 the best pilots and builders of scale jet aircrafts from all over the world will meet each other at the Jämi Airfield, Jämijärvi, Finland. Presenting and flying their scale jet models of famous trainers and fighters they compete at the highest competition which to be held every two years, the international Jet World Masters.

Suihkumoottorilennokeiden MM-kilpailut - Jet World Masters järjestetään kahden vuoden välein. Itse kilpailu koostuu kahdesta eri osa-alueesta. Staattisesta ja lento-arvostelusta. Staattisessa arvostelussa verrataan mallilennokkia oikeaan dokumenttien avulla, lento-arvostelussa arvioidaan mallilennokin tai oikeammin sen lennättäjän kykyä jäljitellä esikuvansa lentoa. Yhteispisteet ratkaisevat, voittoon ei riitä pelkästään esikuvan mukaiseksi rakennettu kone, pitää myös osata lennättää, ja päinvastoin.
