170th Weekend Round inspection for a Water Rich Puducherry| Dr. Kiran BedI

In the continuing visits as part of "Mission Puducherry Water Rich", the 170th Weekend Morning Round wasmade to Pondicherry University & Pondicherry Engineering College.
This weekend too Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor travelled in public transport bus accompanied by team of officers from [Public Works, State Ground water unit and Science & Technology.

As per the chart of Ground water Table produced from the observation tube wells, it was informed that the region of KALAPET had the lowest water table. Hon'ble LG dedicated the weekedn round to visit to Higher Educational Institutions that were occupying space of nearly 1000 acres with rich potential to create rain water harvesting structures for capturing monsoon rains in abundance to meet the entire need of Kalapet region.
