Do you know that the global sea level was 6-9 meters higher than the present during the last interglaciation about 125,000 years ago, when the atmospheric CO2 was only at the level of pre-industrial times? Was Greenland ice free at that time? Did the marine-based Western Antarctic Ice Sheet collapse and contributed to the higher sea level? Can the modern-day supercomputers help shed new lights on these antient mysteries?
