After Ambie is revealed to be a vampire in front of Loxas at their previous confrontation, it seems as if nothing goes right. Loxas is harshly scolded as he returns to the VEU headquarters by his boss, and is informed that he now has a new, familiar partner to work with to find "potential vampires." At the same time, wounds from Irene’s past begin to reopen, which she is now tasked with confronting head on.

SYNOPSIS:
Blood Oath tells the story of a girl who discovers the local family blood clinic’s most precious secret… they’re vampires, and they drink the blood they extract from patients. Luckily, the family is feeling merciful, as they give her a choice; live the rest of her life under 24/7 surveillance by vampires, or take the secret to the grave. A hard decision!

episode notes:
as you've probably noticed, this episode is split in half. this was a spontaneous decision i made after finishing the episode's frame and it totaled to about 45 minutes long... not only is a file that large inconvenient to work with, but the length didn't feel justifiable for an episode that's closer to being filler than it is main plot.
...not to say that i mind it being filler. i actually try to write as much filler as i can! this description is getting pretty long already though so i'll explain why some other time.
i've been thinking about the presentation of this series lately in terms of it being a youtube video rather than an art project, which is helping me slowly make improvements. this episode easily has the heaviest use of sound effects in the whole series so far. additionally, i brought back the "cutscene" style of presenting scenes from episode 3 (think the intro from ep3). i'm getting the hang of how to bring this series to life! it's a bit amusing to look back on earlier episodes these days though... episode 1 feels so low quality now, which makes me a bit sad T_T maybe one day, far in the future, i'll make a more refined version of this series.

i'm not sure as i'm writing this if episode 5 will also be split in half, but don't worry about waiting too long for part 2s. part 2 of episode 4 will be out next week for sure^^
