Two days after a construction tunnel on the Jammu Srinagar Highway collapsed all dead bodies of workers stuck inside were recovered on Saturday. Officials informed that recovering nine more bodies raised the death toll to 10. The two-day long rescue operation ended late Saturday evening with the recovery of the bodies of all the missing workers. Immediately after the incident, on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, three survivors were taken to the hospital by the rescue team. Earlier officials had said that a portion of the under-construction tunnel collapsed soon after work began on the project.
