Brewed by the St. James Gate Brewery in Dublin (Diageo)

I've really never thought about what I'm tasting when drinking a Guinness before so this is a voyage of discovery for me even though I've probably had hundreds of pints of this stuff in my lifetime (a low estimate)

👃Somehow fresh smelling, with a light cream and Light coffee aroma initially. When this bad boy warms up you get a stronger coffee note with a sweeter balance that feels a touch vanilla-y, although it still sides creamy, malty and moorish.

👅 Real creamy flow from front to back, a teeny tiny bit sweet for a second and the creamy taste takes up the entire first half of the sip. The malt richness comes out in the mid to back with a lingering light coffee like bitterness

🎖️8/10 - There is truly nothing like a Guinness, the savoury balance and cream flow is fantastic. Oh how I have missed this from a pub. Probably my first Guinness in at least 12 months....
