Install Beauty Bark Landscaping – DIY

Описание к видео Install Beauty Bark Landscaping – DIY

Have you considered installing beauty bark landscaping instead of planting grass?

In this video, Diane and I install a rectangular area of beauty bark approximately 60 ft. long by 8 ft. wide along the fence in our backyard where we had removed an old evergreen hedge. Done properly, a three-inch layer of medium sized beauty bark on top of weed block fabric will require essentially no maintenance, whereas a lawn will necessitate watering, fertilizing, weed control treatments, and regular mowing and trimming along all edges. No brainer!

After we removed the old evergreen hedge, which had essentially covered the fence in our backyard, we were faced with a landscaping dilemma: what to do with the newly exposed bare ground with a row of partially uncovered cut tree trunks. This house being our retirement home, our objective has been to reduce yard maintenance, and not make more work for ourselves.

The total cost of installing Beauty Bark Landscaping: $390
