Had a leaf stuck in a fan of my Mazda 2 (UK version) that was making an annoying sound when the fan was on. It was relatively easy to clean it out, took me about half an hour for everything. At first I was trying to just push it out of the way with a bamboo stick, but in the end turned fan to lowest speed and gentrly rubbed the stick against the fan roughly where the leaf was. This dislodged the lead enough so that it could be blown out at highest fan speeed.
