Recent visitors at Disneyland expected to see Mickey Mouse banish the evil Maleficent dragon. Instead, they were stunned as the animatronic caught on fire. As the 45-foot dragon burned, an announcement explained that the “performance of ‘Fantasmic’ could not continue.” The fire-breathing dragon seemed to meet a fitting end. Disney says all employees and guests were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
