Rail Centres Today: Exeter

Описание к видео Rail Centres Today: Exeter

"Exeter is an important railway crossroads, marking the junction of the two traditionally rival West of England lines from Waterloo and Paddington.
Today, at the beginning of a new era of competition on the railways, Exeter is once again served by rival companies. We see the Western route towards Taunton and down to Torbay, and the Southern line to Honiton, as well as the Exmouth and Barnstaple branches, and the freight line to Meldon. At the centre of it is Exeter St Davids station, where you can see trains for London leaving in opposite directions!
Many aspects of the working of the railways in the Exeter area are covered in this programme, including memories of recent steam specials, and the last days of the well-loved Class 50 diesels."

A fascinating insight for Train enthusiasts the world over from 1994.
