Ingredients for Arisi upma
To grind for the arisi upma powder (Ratio given)
Raw Rice – 400gms
Toor dhal – 75 gms
Bengal Gram – 75gms
Urad dhal – 50 gms (Add this only when you are planning to use the same mix for thavala adai, upma and pidi kuzhakattai). If you are making only arisi upma this can be ignored.
Pepper – 2 tsp
Cumin – 2 tsp

We used 200ml from the above powder

To temper
Coconut Oil – 4 tsp
Ghee - 2 tsp - (Optional)
Hing – 1 small piece
Mustard – 1 tsp
Bengal Gram –1 tsp
Urad dhal – 1 tsp

Others
Grated Coconut – 1 - 2 tblsp
Dry Red Chili – 2
Green chili - as needed
Ginger - as needed
Curry leaves
Salt as needed
