Three individuals in Colorado have been charged with serious crimes after allegedly kidnapping and torturing their housemate over a harrowing 14-hour period. The suspects, Jason Carlson (49), Sherell Allen (48), and Luke Anaya (41), face charges including attempted first-degree murder, kidnapping, and multiple counts of assault following the incident that occurred in their shared home in Jefferson County.
The victim, a 45-year-old man, reported to police that he was bound with zip ties and electrical tape, beaten with a baseball bat, and subjected to other brutal acts, including being shot with rock salt from an Airsoft gun and having rubbing alcohol ignited on his face. He managed to escape after a fourth roommate intervened, leading to his transport to a hospital where medical staff noted severe injuries including singed eyebrows and broken cartilage in his neck.
Authorities executed high-risk arrest warrants at the residence, and all three suspects are currently held on cash-only bonds ranging from $150,000 to $300,000 as investigations continue to locate a fourth suspect involved in the assault.
