Conserving and Cleaning Feathers [Tutorial]

In this video, Nicole Grabow, Objects Conservator and Preservation Conservator at the Midwest Art Conservation Center, describes the basic anatomy of feathers. A variety of feather cleaning techniques are demonstrated. This video supplements the session "Conserving and Cleaning Feathers: A Hands-on Introduction" given at the 2018 ATALM annual conference held in Prior Lake, Minnesota, on October 8-11, 2018.
