We've sang this song for over almost ten years, but this is only my 2nd time singing it with a full band. We turned on Otis Redding " I've Been Loving You" and decided to draw inspiration from one of the greatest love songs ever written. Drum rolls, breaks, and raw passion. I say this often, when I wrote this song I had experienced the loss of my first love who unexpectedly passed away, and the heartbreak of living in LA without someone who really loved me. The desperation, longing , and deep desire that you feel in this song connects because it was written from that place.
Though I am not In love at the moment that desire still lingers, but when I asked can I feel and be loved by YOU, in my heart the ask has become a request to God. Singing a prayer of wanting to know on a deep level that I can be loved.

This song has had many lives and meaning in this lifetime, but for me, this is what It means now. I do hope God blesses me with an earthly romantic love, but until then I am asking God to fill the parts in me that still I ask .. can I feel and be loved by you, with His love.

So rather it be for a romantic partner, or an intimate love letter to God, I hope the worlds touch you and remind you that you are worthy of the deepest, truest, love this world can give.
