FATA Parliamentary Group Thursday called to include FATA issue as a national issue in the agenda of All Parties Conference (APC) being convened by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
The call was made during visit of MQM delegation to IPO office here to extend invitation for APC. MQM delegation was consisting of Senator Tahir Mashhaddi, Member Coordination Committee, Gulfaraz Khan Khattak, Zahid Malik, Salah-ud-Din, Munir Anjum while FATA Parliamentary Group was comprising on its Head, Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi, Senator Haji Khan, Senator Halal-ur-Rehman and others.
Following the meeting, talking to media persons, Head of FATA Parliamentary Group said that situation of tribal areas was not hidden from someone. He urged the need to include it in the APC agenda for discussion taking as a national issue. He said that internal and external hands were involved in deteriorating situation in FATA. He highlighted that people of FATA were facing numerous problems.
He lauded initiative of MQM for convening APC, saying the country was passing through critical situation. He said energy crunch, law and order situation, poverty and other issues were unbridled. Appreciating the move of MQM for calling APC, he said it was a laudable step, adding if any other political party had convened this APC, had benefitted. He lauded Quaid Altaf Hussain for taking initiative, saying he be attending APC moot and also visit 90 very soon.
Gulfaraz Khattak said that today country is passing through critical situation, adding APC is being convened that all political leader sit together and chalk out strategy to steer the country out of all crises. He said energy crisis, poverty, price-hike, Balochsitan issue and other issues are confronted to the country. He said MQM was agreed with FATA Parliamentary Group's demand that FATA issue must also be discussed during APC.
He said law and order situation in Karachi was deteriorating day by day, adding the business activities were fading away with passage of every single day. He added businessmen were mulling to shift their enterprises abroad.
About meeting with FATA Parliamentary Group, he said FATA situation was discussed in length during the meeting. He said MQM was approaching all political parties to participate in the APC. He added today is good time to discuss the issues and find out solutions of these issues.
