Pressure from the business-friendly Free Democratic Party (FDP) in Chancellor Olaf Scholz's government led to calls for reevaluating arms exports to Saudi Arabia, especially after the Yemen ceasefire. The Greens, another coalition partner, had concerns over arms exports to conflict regions but agreed to "specific individual cases" of exports as long as they aren't used in Yemen or linked to human rights violations. Eurofighter deliveries to Riyadh remain blocked, with Germany and France having veto power. Germany may consider exporting the A400M military cargo plane to the UAE. This decision reflects the complexity of balancing economic interests and humanitarian concerns within Germany's coalition government.
