TIP 01: Planning

Properly clean and decontaminate your car
Find a clean location to do your work
Measure your cars panels to figure out how much vinyl you need
Order extra vinyl!

Tip 02: Practice

Use extra vinyl to get familiar with how it works
Test difficult areas with small samples BEFORE cutting a large piece to do a full panel

Tip 03: Use Heat

Using heat allows the vinyl to stretch across shapes more efficiently
Post heating removes imperfections and “resets” the memory in the film to minimize chance of the vinyl lifting

Tip 04: Invest in the Right Tools

Investing in the proper tools up front makes the job MUCH easier
Get a heat gun, temp. gun, squeegees, vinyl wrap gloves, razor blade, 3M knifeless tape, and painters tape

Tip 05: Recruit a Friend

Drag a friend along for the fun!
It makes difficult sections much easier with a second set of hands
Helps pass the time
