🇫🇷L'Auxerrois François Tuphé avait fortement marqué les esprits suite à sa participation à United Guitars, Vol. 2, et son morceau " So You're Gone " reste l'un des plus appréciés de notre répertoire. Pour ce nouvel album, il rempile avec " Life is A Clock " un morceau pop mélancolique, introspectif et conceptuel, avec ce motif d'introduction régulier en palm-mute qui revient en leitmotiv tout du long du morceau et qui ne laisse pas d'équivoque lorsque qu'il se réduit au simple cliquetis d'une horloge au début du pont : " Life is A Clock ", représentation du grand sablier est le fruit du questionnement d'un futur trentenaire quant au sens de la vie et au temps qui passe. Chaque partie de la structure du morceau illustre une phase différente de l'existence, de la naissance sur l'intro, à l'enfance, l'adolescence et l'âge adulte avec le thème et les différentes parties solos jusqu'à l'outro à la guitare acoustique qui préfigure le repos éternel. Un beau moment de musique et de communion guitaristique que François partage avec Niko Slash et William Remond, et assurément l'un des temps forts de l'album.

🇺🇸François Tuphé (from Auxerre, France) had made a big impression following his appearance in United Guitars, Vol. 2, and his piece "So You're Gone" remains one of the most popular in our repertoire. For this new album, he's back with "Life is A Clock" a melancholic, introspective and conceptual pop track, introduced with this regular palm-mute motif which comes back as a leitmotif throughout the piece and which leaves no equivocal when it's reduced to the simple clicking of a clock at the beginning of the bridge: "Life is A Clock", representation of the inescapable hourglass is the result of the questioning of a future thirty-year-old about the meaning of life and the time that flies away. Each part of the song's structure illustrates a different phase of existence, from birth on the intro, to childhood, adolescence and adulthood with the theme and the different solo parts until the acoustic guitar outro which foreshadows eternal rest. A beautiful moment of music and guitaristic communion that François shares with Niko Slash and William Remond, and certainly one of the highlights of the album.
