In the speech, I introduced the concept of appearance anxiety and the negative impact of the unified, harmful beauty standards on our self-image. Using reindeer Rudolph's story as an example, I showed how we are criticized for simply being different. Nowadays we also face the pressure from the social media, where filtered, unrealistic images prevail. This leads to comparisons between ourselves and those “perfect pictures”, which can cause significant anxiety. Therefore, we must break those so-called beauty standards. In my speech, I encourage all of you to accept and embrace yourself, and create a world where everyone feels valued and unique.
