This is a poem I wrote some time ago about spiritual abuse.

No figure of authority, no parents, no pastor, no friend is above you and can put themselves between God and you. We are all placed next to each other and as gods children equally able to hear his voice. If the Holy Spirit inside of you does not confirm what the person in front of you is saying, its not the truths, its not Jesus.


Editing is not the best, but it was just to give some visuals. And a typo so here is the text:


Religion

Its kind of hard to be real with self
When everything you see is polished for a shelves

It probably sounds like an open letter of critique
When all I really need is find my voice to speak.
Mentioning things people are uncomfortable with,
When you tell them what you’re saying is not helping but worsen’
What has already been broken from the start to begin with.


You think most pain is coming from what hurt me back then
But what really got to me was the your theories when
Your words were not working to mend me by hand
And offering help was an excuse for trying to bend

I was searching for truth and the place I was sent
Was my own condemnation for when I didn’t went

You said the church is for the sick but love was just lend
And instead of redemption  you put god in a tent
I’d wish id understood those days what you truly meant
When your actions declared I am broken and you,  you are God’s sent.
