Here's a walk through guide as to how I modify a classic mini cylinder head, showing tools and processes involved. You can do it too Its basically smoothing out the casting marks and smoothing the direction changes along the ports.
All 1275 heads can be drilled for the Cooper S 11 stud setup; ie the 2 extra studs at each end of the head, mark from a head gasket and drill accurately using a pillar drill or mill!
