Breaking news! Eight members of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses have been disfellowshipped.

Three Jehovah’s Witnesses, long-time elders, convened a judicial committee on July 14, 2025, to address the sins committed by the eight members of the Governing Body (David Splane, Kenneth Cook, Steven Lett, Geoffrey Jackson, Samuel Herd, Gerrit Lösch, Mark Sanderson, Anthony Morris III), including blasphemy and homicide, in 2021 and 2022.

As they refused to repent, the committee of elders decided to disfellowship or expel the aforementioned eight members.
