Maker Faire Tokyo, is an annual event in Japan, for the display of inventions and creations. It is an opportunity for all inventors and creators to show off their dreams and ideas, in reality.

This event is unique, as it sits somewhere between Design Festa with its Artistic Enthusiasm, and the shear methodical focus and intensity of an Engineering Exhibition.
This means that the exhibitors are free from corporate culture and constraints to make what they like and without the need to crate a product that is designed to sell.

Despite the end goal of the exhibitor of being able to display their own ideas and creations, there is always a myriad of creativity and ingenuity at Maker Faire.

Some ideas were more proof of concept than pure prototypes, with a few looking even production ready. However, all were just ripe for the pickings, maybe to develop into a fully commercial product? Some stands did offer small items or kits to buy.

So all this creative energy in one place is perhaps what makes Maker Fair a wonderful and inspiring place to visit!
