Originally from Queens, NY, Captain Campbell enlisted in the active Army in 1998 as 13B, Cannon Crew member, reclassing to a 68W, Combat Medic in 2000. CPT Campbell served 14 years, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class before being accepted into the Army Enlisted Commissioning Program in 2010. CPT Campbell graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and was commissioned into the Army Nurse Corp in 2012.
Captain Campbell’s current assignment is BCT Nurse, 2nd BDE, 82nd ABN Division. His prior assignments include: Staff Nurse, Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC; Assistant Head Nurse, Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC; Clinical Instructor / Deputy Director- Clinical Nurse Transition Program, Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC; Aide de Camp to the Commanding General of Regional Health Command – Atlantic, Fort Belvoir, VA; Company Commander, B Company, Troop Command-Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, Fort Belvoir, VA.
CPT Campbell’s military education includes the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Basic Officer Leadership Course, AMEDD Captain’s Career Course, Combat Casualty Care Course, CJ Reddy Leadership Course, Basic Healthcare Administrative Course, Brigade Healthcare Provider Course, Tactical Combat Medical Course, SAMFE and numerous NCO schools.
CPT Campbell’s military awards and decorations include: Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with one silver leaf cluster, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Meritorious Unit Commendation with one oak leaf cluster, Army Good Conduct Medal with 4 knots, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with two Combat Stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with the numeral 3, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon with the numeral 3, Combat Medical Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, Parachutist Badge and Air Assault badge.
He is married to the former Gaelen Honore and they have 3 children, Keenan 19, Stephen III 13, and Gabrielle 10.
