Restoring the Alsea Basin: Mill & Beaty Creeks

Описание к видео Restoring the Alsea Basin: Mill & Beaty Creeks

MidCoast Watersheds Council and partners spent the last year documenting the restoration of Mill & Beaty Creeks. After Janet bought her property in 2007, she dreamed of restoring Mill Creek to its natural state. In summer 2024, that dream became a reality. Artificial berms were removed, former mill pond areas were regraded, a new culvert was installed, 300 logs were places in the stream, and the creek was connected to its historic floodplain. This visual journey through Mill Creek tells a story of partnerships, scientific discovery, and at the heart– a love for fish, wildlife, and our waterways.
