Big Boy 4014 finds the Rails M2T

Описание к видео Big Boy 4014 finds the Rails M2T

The magnitude of moving Americas largest Steam Engine (1,250,00 lbs) across a 5000 foot parking lot to where it can be moved onto a set of rails and then ultimately to Cheyenne, WY is clearly a historical event. This video tries to document the crux of the move onto a Metrolink commuter line and then to a Union Pacific (UP) rail yard at Colton, CA. This task needed to be conducted at night to minimize the disruption to travelers. This video is 49 minutes long, and may not be for those without the interest in the history of Steam Engines, and railroading in their blood. Special kudos go to the hundreds of UP workers, special equipment companies, and both Railroad and City police forces along with possible thousands of rail fans along the route who took the time to take pictures and video of this special event.
