Polishing and Sanding Tools are used to create the best possible surface for your finished composite part or mold. Time spent sanding and polishing molds and finished parts will pay off in the long run.

For finished parts, a highly-polished, Class-A surface produces impressive cosmetics.
For molds, a top quality surface finish means higher quality, repeatable parts made from the mold, and less time spent required to finish those parts.
An improved surface finish also helps to prevent moisture and small particles from entering your part or mold, extending working life.

Keep in mind that sanding and polishing will require some elbow grease and patience. It is usually not a quick process. Sanding usually involves several different grades of sandpaper, working your way consecutively to finer and finer grits. Depending on surface area and grit, you may consider wearing a dust mask.

For the polishing phase, compounds and glaze will require an applicator, several clean towels, or a powered rotary buffer and pad. Be sure to read instructions for each product before you begin.
