Just a quick video showing how I was able to test for a parasitic draw - also called parasitic battery drain on this 2006 Toyota Tundra.

A parasitic draw or parasitic battery drain are the terms commonly used for an electrical component consuming electricity after the vehicle has been shut off. This can cause the vehicle's battery to drain faster than normal.

This battery was completely dead (1.24 volts) when I began working on this truck the other day. I was able to jumpstart the truck with the Noco GB70 using the Manual Override Boost function.

Here is a link to that video:    • NOCO BOOST GB70 - How to Jump-start a Car ...

(After shooting that video, I took out the battery and charged it on the Noco Genius5 Smart Battery Charger. It didn't have any problems taking a charge and it seemed to start the truck just fine afterwards without the voltage dropping below 10 volts so I think the battery is ok.)

After sitting for 1-2 months, most car batteries will drain down to the point that they will no longer start the car.
The normal amount current or amperage draw for most cars is between 50 and 85 milliamps when they are parked.
According to a Tundra Solutions Forum: "Anything 50 milliamps and under is normal on this truck. A parasitic draw above this threshold is considered excessive."

The owner said that the truck didn't start after it had sat for a while,
...but he didn't have me look at it until a few months later.
This video shows a simply way to test for a parasitic battery drain, or at least how to narrow it down to help finding it easier.

Best of luck to you!
