What A day! sunrise to sunset on CSX's Berkshire and Boston Subdivision was sure a day to remember! we arrived in westfield at 6am, and with no eastbounds, our first train was hotshot Q019 with his normal 3 GEVOs for power, alittle while after Q019 passed, our friend john showed up, we havent seen him since i think september, he ended up taking us to a spot just a few 100 yards down from the crossings, the spot was perfect for eastbound, nice long streight away, we remained at that spot for L012 and Q264, Q264 had a friendly crew, giving us a SAAHC has they fly by, we then decided to head to west springfield where we saw Q425 with another friendly crew giving us, another SAAHC, he pulled ahead of us and then doubled back into the yard (not shown), then came Q022 coming down hill, after Q022 we had to bring back home cause he had a party to be at, after dropping him off, we headed for palmer, to see 449 the vermonters and whatever else, with 449 being late there was no rush to palmer, we got to palmer to see a bunch of friends there, and while we waited for 449 the southbound vermonter showed up but waited for 449 to pass before they headed west, after those two trains, nothing till the northbound vermonter, while he was doing his swiching, the CSX dispatcher was talking to Q437, the northbound left and Q437 rounded the corner and then stopped on the sideing to do his work, he didnt take long until he was back on the road. we then left palmer and head back to west springfield, it was dead for 4 hours, with us just walking around bored we finally heard "CSX Q423 Clear CP96 CSXT 698 Out" bout time we thought, we though he was light until we heard him full throttle coming up to the first crossing, very friendly crew, giving a nice hornshow after the crossings, i was paying attention to my camera when i saw allen pointing and i looked up and saw BNSF!!, yes BNSF! On the B&A!, it came off of a oil train from pan am, this Q423 was also a Q427 mixed, After he passed we were all happy about seeing that, then it was quite for a few hours, then came Q426 slowly coming into the yard to get a new EOT, and that was would be it for us, what a epic day! thanks for watching!
