Back to Speedrunning this week! Becuase this level had a lot of zombies with a lot of health, and a good chunk of them walking backwards along the lawn, most damage dealers were either too expensive or too weak. Fortunately, through careful sun management, this entire level can be beaten swiftly using a bunch of instant plants. Not much of a breakdown needed for this one since all the instas brought here served the same purpose: instantly defeat the target to bring the next wave. Only one that had some thought in it was Security Gourd. This insta deals increasing damage in 3 increments of 10 seconds, so placing them at the right time is important. I used 3 of them, and the first two helped speed up 2 separate waves, with the last one missing mark because I didn't manage my cooldowns properly. I also use a special ability here that I rarely use in the survival challenges: Instant Recharge. After finishing Big Wave Beach, you get an upgrade that lets you spend Plant Food to instant recharge a seed slot. This lets you use powerful instas with long cooldowns in rapid succession. This is often used to wipe the final wave instantly with 2 Cherry Bombs, but since it had a Dragon Imp that's immune to explosion/fire damage, it was more efficient to stagger the Cherry Bombs across the final 2 waves instead.
