Is anyone still Christmas shopping? Cause I am 😅- I know this video is kind of fast, but since Christmas is right around the corner I’m trying to roll out my ideas before it’s too late! ⏰ So I crammed a lot into one video. Feel free to ask for more clarification on anything you need, but here’s some answers to questions you might have!!
🎄I removed the wax from the candle jar by melting it first. Then I ran hot water on the jar while scrubbing it with a small brush until it was clean. I disposed of the melted wax in another container after it hardened. I don't like the way most Dollar Tree candles smell, so I didn't keep it. If you prefer, you can turn them into wax melts and keep for yourself or include with the gift. I opted for this container because I couldn't find any other containers that were cute and fit the matches this nicely. But if you find an empty container you like, you can skip the melting wax part.
🎄I melted the wax in a small pot with water and kept it on a low/simmer setting. If you put the lid on the pot, it will melt faster. 🎄I used the larger matches from Dollar Tree to fill the jar, and cut the striker off of a smaller pack of their matches. I hot glued it to the side of the jar. I would recommend a good quality hot glue like gorilla hot glue for this. 🎄I used e6000 to adhere a small round mirror to one of Dollar Tree’s glass candleholders to make it look nicer. 🎄The second DIY was inspired by @fernandmaplestyle . Such a cute and easy idea to put together! You can use a small piece of cellophane and hot glue to cover the top. 🎄I’m using my Niimbot label maker for the labels.
