Kitchener to Cambridge - Grand River Solo Canoe Trip - Day 3

In this episode, I begin from my campsite at Bingeman's Resort in Kitchener and paddle to a small island just south of Cambridge. My total paddling distance was 34.1km. I paddled under 14 bridges including Victoria St N, the CN Guelph Subdivision bridge, Fairway Rd N, the CP Waterloo Subdivision Bridge, the Freeport Bridge (King St E), Highway 8, the Walter Bean Grand River Trail bridge, Highway 401, Fountain St S, the CP Galt Subdivision Bridge, Park Hill Rd W, the Cambridge Main St Bridge, the Craig's Crossing pedestrian bridge, and Cedar St. I also portaged around two dams: The Mannheim Weir in Kitchener and the Park Hill Dam in Cambridge. After completing the second portage I went for a walk around the streets of downtown Galt and stopped to pick-up some dinner. The municipalities I paddled through include the City of Kitchener, the City of Cambridge and the Township of North Dumfries, which are all part of Waterloo Region.

The canoe is an Old Town Penobscot 16', made of Royalex, which I rented from Element Canoes in Hamilton: https://www.elementcanoes.com I filmed this video using a Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone. The drone shots were filmed using a DJI Mine SE. The GPS I used for the trip is a Garmin eTrex 30.
