TTC Buses at Warden Station

Warden Station, the second eastern terminus of the Bloor-Danforth Subway, from its opening in 1968 until the extension to Kennedy in 1980, has outgrown the capacity of its unique bus terminal. With growth in the areas of Toronto both to the north and the south of the station, the terminal could originally serve the entirety of the east end of the city, but the multiple platforms are no longer sufficient for the level of bus traffic at the station. Additionally, modern accessibility requirements are impossible to meet with the current design, so a project to modernize the station is underway. At the time of recording in September 2023, Birchmount and McNicoll Divisions were supplying Nova Bus LFS buses to many of the routes at Warden, while Malvern supplied Nova Bus LFS HEV buses.
