This marks a significant step as Saudi Arabia emerges as a key regional backer of the new administration in Damascus. Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump lifted economic sanctions on Syria during a visit to Riyadh, paving the way for economic recovery.

Prince Faisal is set to meet with President Shar’ and participate in a joint press conference, while the Saudi delegation will hold consultations with Syrian officials to discuss joint efforts to rebuild Syria’s economy and strengthen its state institutions.
