Welcome to this driving tour of Venice Island, Florida! Venice was once considered a slow beach town but this area is springing to life. Venice has some of the most amazing beaches in Florida including Venice Beach and Casperson Beach which is also known as the shark-tooth capital of the world. Not because there are a lot of sharks in the water, but the teeth are fossils, and some date back to millions of years ago.

The historic downtown area is quaint, with lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities. For theater lovers, find Florida Theater right on the island.

Sharky's and Finn's by the Venice Pier will get you some of the best views. And walk your dog on Brohard beach, Sarasota County's only dog-friendly beach where your dog is allowed to run around freely.
