Objectives:
Understand division as grouping.
Use division to find the number of groups when given the total and the number in each group.

Assignments:

1) Watch video on Lesson 5 and follow along on your textbook page 142 - 145

2) Work in your workbook Chapter 6 Lesson 5, independently.
Ask an adult for help as needed. Take pictures of the work you finished in your workbook and upload on google classroom.

Additional Activity (Optional)

1) Division Stories
Materials : Paper, pencil, counters (optional)

Instructions:
Assign an equation to illustrate or have students select their own. Have them write the problem and equation and then illustrate or show it with counters.
Examples:
-I counted 20 dog legs in the park. How many dogs are in the park?
-6 friends shared 12 bracelets equally. How many bracelets did each friend have?
-The sports shop had 18 balls. They put them into bags of 3. How many bags did the shop make?
