HOW TO REPLACE LIGHT SEALS on any film camera.

Описание к видео HOW TO REPLACE LIGHT SEALS on any film camera.

However easy you think this might be ... DOUBLE IT!!!! It's extremely easy. And like this video shows, you can do it in a nice mindfully slow way, too. I'm restoring a Yashica Electro 35 GX, but the same exact technique would work with any Rangefinder, SLR, point-and-shoot, 35mm, medium format ... any film camera with a door that opens for the film. Nikon FE, FA, EM, F3, F4 ... Leica 3, IIIf, M4, M4P, M2 ... Canon AE, Mat-124G, F1, F, Pentax, Mamiya, Fuji, literally. Everything. Same technique.

Step one: clean off the old gak: you could use acetone or screen wash, with cotton buds (/cue tips). Rub-a-dub-dub.
Step two: get some thin (~1mm) stick foam sheet off ebay. Don't buy it from Amazon because, as we know, Amazon is pure evil. It doesn't need to be special foam, just black - you could probably use velvet, really doesn't matter as long as it's dark.
Step three: cut it into thin strips and stick it on every edge where the old light seals used to be. That's it. Lovely.
