The new year isn’t just about setting goals. It’s about making decisions that shape direction. Before Joshua ever stepped into the Promised Land, he had to make up his mind about something deeper than leadership, success, or fear. He had to decide if he would fully trust God’s Word and walk in obedience.

In this message, we walk through Joshua 1 and see how God calls Joshua to lead with clarity, courage, and conviction. God makes it clear that success wouldn’t come from strategy alone, but from meditating on His Word day and night. As Joshua commits to God’s Word, it produces obedience, strength, courage, and action fueled by faith.

This sermon kicks off our series The Hidden Work, where we focus on spiritual practices that shape who we are long before anyone sees the results. Meditating on Scripture isn’t flashy, but it is foundational. It’s how God forms willing hearts, steady faith, and bold obedience.

No matter what this year is holding for you, the question is simple but weighty. Will you say yes or no to the call of God on your life? God promises that where He calls, He provides. Where He leads, He sustains. And when we commit to His Word, He gives us everything we need to move forward.
