South African hiphop artist famously known as K.O launches his hybrid retail store SWAVE in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

K.O reiterated that ‘Swave’ derives from his notorious Skhanda World brand, but this time with a twist, incorporating 'Ave' to symbolise "Avenue," giving rise to the distinctive name ‘Swave’. 

"I went into this year with the idea of actually getting to it. Creating this vision and bringing it to fruition and I just struggled for the longest time to find the right space for it and I thought it was a sign from God. Then one day I came for an interview around this space two days after the space was vacant and we eventually got to sign the lease to the place,” K.O 

The fashion items including utility jackets, jeans, sweat pants and shirts sold at the outlet are part of K.O's collection available at Studio 88, but he has a bigger plan in mind.“There's going to be other brands. We mainly want to focus on bespoke streetwear and other things. We are also in the process of bringing in some women's wear, I also want to bring in, in a month or so, kids' wear. We just wanted to encapsulate a whole lot of other things.”
